NOTHING LASTS FOR EVER...

I’ve learned…. everything in life is temporary.

Every time it rains, it stops raining.

Every time you get hurt, you heal.

After darkness there is always light – you are reminded of this every morning, but still you often forget, and instead choose to believe that the night will last forever.

It won’t. Nothing lasts forever.

So if things are good right now, enjoy it.

It won’t last forever.

If things are bad, don’t worry because it won’t last forever either.

Just because life isn’t easy at the moment, doesn’t mean you can’t laugh.

Just because something is bothering you, doesn’t mean you can’t smile.

Every moment gives you a new beginning and a new ending.

You get a second chance, every second. You just have to take it and make the best of it.

WHEN THE CHESS GAME IS OVER....

A retired MD of a Bank came to a branch in a city where nobody recognized him, as the branch is run by new generation people.

He had to identify himself as ex-MD of the same Bank.

Curiously one employee of that branch asked him, "how is life in retirement" ?

The ex-MD said, *" I have realized that , after a Chess game is over, the King & Soldiers are kept in the same box".*

How Old Is Grandpa?? -- see I am NOT that grandpa !!!!!!!

One evening a grandson was talking to his grandfather about current events.

The grandson asked his grandfather what he thought about the shootings
at schools, the computer age, and just things in general.

*The Grandfather replied, ‘Well, let me think a minute, I was born before:*

‘television’

‘penicillin’

‘polio shots’

‘frozen foods’

‘Xerox’

‘contact lenses’

*There were no:* ‘credit cards’  ‘laser beams’ ‘ball-point pens’

*Man had not invented:* ‘air conditioners’   ‘dishwashers’  ‘clothes dryers’

‘and the clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and

‘man hadn’t yet walked on the moon

Your Grandmother and I got married first, . . . and then lived together.

Every family had a father and a mother.

Our lives were governed by the Holy Quran & Hadith.

We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong and to
stand up and take responsibility for our actions.

We thought fast food was what people ate during office timings.

Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins.

Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the evenings and weekends.

We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CDs, electric typewriters,
yogurt, or guys wearing earrings.

If you saw anything with ‘Made in Japan ‘ on it, it was junk.

Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, and instant coffee were unheard of.

Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a streetcar, and a Pepsi were
all a nickel.

*In my day:*

”grass’ was mowed,

”coke’ was a cold drink,

”pot’ was something your mother cooked in and

”Aids’ were helpers in the Principal’s office,

” chip’ meant a piece of wood,

”hardware’ was found in a hardware store and

”software’ wasn’t even a word.

And we were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed
a husband to have a baby.

No wonder people call us ‘old and confused’ and say there is a generation gap.

and how old do you think I am?

I bet you have an old man in mind……and you are in for a shock!

*I am just 59 years old. !!*

Characters of a CHEAT Fund persons...

Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to the
villagers that he would buy monkeys for Rs 10.

The villagers started catching the monkeys. The man bought thousands
of monkeys at Rs 10 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers
stopped their effort.

He further announced that he would now buy at Rs 20.
This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching
monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people
started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to Rs 25
and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to
even see a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at Rs 50!
However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his
assistant would now buy on behalf of him.

In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers "Look at
all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will
sell them to you at Rs 35 and when the man returns from the city, you
can sell it to him for Rs 50."

The villagers squeezed up with all their savings and bought all the monkeys.
Then they never saw the man nor his assistant, only monkeys everywhere!!!

Welcome to the "Stock" Market !!!!

Tricks to get back your kids earliest and at their cost--- Strange Idea...

An old man in Miami calls up his son in Mumbai and says, "Listen, your
mother and I are getting divorced. Forty-five years of misery is
enough."

"Dad, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

“We can't stand the sight of each other any longer,” he says. "I'm
sick of her face, and I'm sick of talking about this, so call your
sister in Chicago and tell her," and he hangs up.

Now, the son is worried. So he calls up his sister.

She says, "Like hell they’re getting divorced!" and calls her father
immediately. "You’re not getting divorced! Don't do another thing, the
two of us are flying home tomorrow to talk about this. Until then,
don't call a lawyer, don't file a paper, DO YOU HEAR ME?” and she
hangs up.

The old man turns to his wife and says "Okay, they’re coming for
Christmas and paying their own airfares.

The Important Things in Life....

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the
table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a
very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with
rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into
the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into
the open areas between the rocks.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of
course, the sand filled up everything else.
He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
with a unanimous “Yes.”

“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this jar
represents your life. The rocks are the important things – your
family, your partner, your health, your children – things that if
everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still
be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter – like your job, your
house, your car.

The sand is everything else. The small stuff.”

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “there is no
room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will
never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay
attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with
your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be
time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the
disposal.

Take care of the rocks first – the things that really matter. Set your
priorities. The rest is just sand.”

Do you love your MOTHER.... as we should...

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who lived two hundred miles away. As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the verandah sobbing. He asked her what was wrong and she replied, “I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy-five shillings, and a rose costs two two thousand.” The man smiled and said, “Come on in with me. I’ll buy you a rose.” He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother’s flowers. As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home. She said, “Yes, please! You can take me to my mother.” She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.

The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother’s house.
